Reef

Reef is an education center informing the public in Egypt, near the Red Sea, about the large coral reef that resides in this sea. The design works with many passive architecture techniques to deal with the desert climate type. With the clear-story roofs allow the wind and light into the building and the heat out of the building. The circulation and form of the building is informed by the idea of a coral reef. The long span steel structure is all tubular steel that is four inches by four inches wide.
